Last night I got in at 10 Pm from the Escort of 25 Marines to CP. Today at 4:30 Am I was once again on the bike and riding. Today we escorted from Ontario Airport 3 bus loads of Marines to CP. Great times meeting and shaking hands with these real heroes. I was also upgraded to Road Captain for the PGR. Nice that.

I've been very remiss in not updating this site. So much to do so little time. In the last 2 months I've participated in 37 Patriot Guard / American Legion Rides/Escorts. In my third year of Escorts. This year has been full of the tears of Memorials, the reality of Funerals, and the happiness of Welcome Home Troops. So many trips, so many escorts, over 200 so far and one today "Welcome Home" and one in the early morning, another Welcome Home. It's an honor to escort these Marines.

You can follow my trips on http://www.alr146.com website which I created and own for the American Legion Riders.

A trip in hell. I got caught in the backcountry mountains between the deserts of California and the ocean. I was riding the motorcycle and a huge thunderstorm, one of many passing by yesterday, began to surround me with lightning and thunder. I was soaked through and the cold from riding caused me to shake so bad I had to stop. I pulled into Pala Casino and had a mocha. About a half hour later, I saw a break in the clouds, very small one, and took the chance. I remounted and rode into the waning rain. The roads were puddling water and runnoff covered some parts of them. I ducked walked the bike through the worst of it. Home safe and sound, I was chilled to the bone. Ah! Another day in Southern California.

I've added all my poems now, almost 200, and I've updated my Awards with new ones. The website is working again, after being down for almost a week due to my provider upgrading the servers.
Hope you enjoy the new additions!
