When I walked through the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

I feared.

Some fears are there where others should be.
Some are in places we least expect them.

Have you feared tonight?
Did you start the day wanting to fear?

Fear can be the unknown.
Fear can be our home.  If we let it.

With trembling hands we stay the course.
Guiding our lives despite the fear.

When I walked through the Valley of the Shadow Of my Death,
I knew fear.   I knew it like the bite of the bugs.

It clung to me like smoke from a firefight.
Fear is a reality for us.

As you walk your Valley, think of this....

A lonely warrior tells us how,

to control the fear.

By being ...

  • Fear, a major factor in our lives sometimes an everyday battle. But in the end there's nothing to fear but fear itself! Excellent discriptive write, well done.

Every battle must be faced with the attitude that failure is not an option. Remember, the warrior that approaches life from the negative will lose the battle by default. Fear is a battle of the mind. It will consume and destroy you if you allow it and give in to its seductive power. Sometimes all it takes is holding up a shield, one created by two hands entwined is often enough to hold things at bay and fill hearts with hope.
