The silence of serenity and the echoing sound it makes,
across distances so lovely, vast empty landscapes.
A sound that carries a caress of wind and dust in its taste,
singing a portrait of sun and clouds the lands dappled face.

A mellow mood and a memories pleasant face.
The silence of the mind and the echoing sound it makes.
Across distances so lonely dispite bleak landscapes,
comes the singing spirit of a loved ones gentle embrace.

So close yet so far away
Words of love make my day
Hearing the syllables pass the lips
Feeling the warmth from a gentle kiss
Knowing that special person is out there
Showing that same person how much you care

pretty petite ***** from asia gets pearl necklace 501 critiques, 46 poems.

so soft and gentle and that picture ties in so well with the serene longing expressed within it. usually i steer clear of rhyming poems, but your imagery and detail exceeds beyond rhyme and still carries meaning within the lines instead of fitting some set form that it makes it all the more enjoyable to read. wonderfully written. keep it up
