My eyes are filled
with the visions you made
covering the darkness
with purple petaled glaze.

My heart is attuned
to your departed sounds
now August moons
are the only sounds.

When we were together
you showed me such love
you took away my stormy weather
like a pure snowy dove.

I'll always remember
your smiley face
and the sound of your laughter
from your happy place.

My pride is intact
a simple fact.
My mind is clear
without you near.

But, love doesn't depart
upon just a sudden whim.
Nor can harsh words
drive it from within.

Instead it will remain
a simple pure refrain.
A song sung by two
who joyfully knew.

Our time was intense
and full of loves scents
while "holding our lines"
with sweet riding times.

Author notes

.........................Sometimes love leaves such memories.
.........................Treasures that will always
.........................occupy our hearts.
